They perform a mixture of contemporary pop, standard and classical music tastefully arranged for cello piano duo. Jacqui (cello) and Brenton (piano) Edgecombe have been life and musical partners for 26 years, taking their talents around the world and winning five Australian Entertainment Industry MO Awards. In the tradition of YouTube sensations The Piano Guys, The Cello Guys apply their classical training to a wide spectrum of music, from conventional to jazz to the latest Top 40 hits.
So if its a piano and cello duo you’re looking for give us a call. We specialise in music for wedding ceremonies but also perform at corporate events, launches, special birthdays, soirees and funerals.
Don’t worry if your venue has no piano! We can bring in our Yamaha digital piano, or even the white grand piano-shell* as pictured above (*available on request – some conditions apply).
Enjoy our videos of Can’t Help Falling in Love and Over the Rainbow and our recordings of A Thousand Years by Christina Perri and You and Me by Lighthouse. They’re four of the most popular pieces of music for a modern bride to walk down the aisle!
We received lots of compliments about the music you played. Thank you for making our special day special! We truly appreciate the both of you. I would highly recommend your services to anyone and everyone.
Cello piano duos – unexpectedly hip!
The cello and piano have long been held in high regard in popular music. But its the US YouTube sensations The Piano Guys who took the cello piano duo to new heights of popularity. Their video cover of A Thousand Years has had over 100 million views on YouTube. Its no wonder the cello piano duo has become the new buzz, and we’re thrilled to be able to add our interpretations to the mix.
Another fantastic cello piano duo is The Brooklyn Duo. Like us, they’re a couple! You can check out their performances on YouTube as well if you need some musical inspiration.
We’ve just created a new site called Adelaide Musicians to cover all of our musical projects.
Will your perform outdoors?
Unfortunately, and after much deliberation we have decided to not accept bookings which are outdoors any more. We can make exceptions if your function is in a fully covered (and heated if it’s winter) area for example, so please contact us to discuss.
Can you DJ after you’ve finished playing?
Absolutely, yes! Click here for details about our DJ and MC services.
Where can we see you?
Although most of our performances are at private events (mainly weddings!) we do occasionally have the opportunity to perform in public. You can see a guide to all our public performances in all our various guises here
